Coachella Valley

The valley extends approximately 45 mi (72 km) southeast from the San Gorgonio Pass to the northern shore of the Salton Sea, and is approximately 15 mi (24 km) wide along most of its length. It is bounded on the northeast by the San Bernardino and Little San Bernardino Mountains, and on the southwest by the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains.

The Valley is best known as the location of several wintertime resort cities that are popular destinations for snowbirds. Thanks to the seasonal snowbirds and the year round tourists, the valley has the infrastructure and amenities of urban areas while retaining its small town appeal…

The valley is also known for a number of famous annual events in the east end, including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, La Quinta Art Celebration , Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Indian Wells/La Quinta ,  Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival, Desert Classic golf tournaments, and the Indian Wells Masters BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament.

But that’s just the beginning of things to do in the greater Palm Springs area:
